ah! a fellow nightwish fan from the US. i'm so happy! lol. i LOVE nightwish. when i heard their new album i actually really loved their new singer. their old stuff was great! but their new stuff was actually really great too. "amaranth" and "sahara", "the poet and the pendulum"... so many good songs. i saw them live a couple months ago when they came over here to the west coast and i have to say... unfortunately i wasn't impressed at all. the new singer... TERRIBLE! she's more pop-ish. and recorded, their amazing... but live, she ruins it terribly trying to over do everything. nightwish in itself, amazing though. absolutely. AND TUOMOS WAS SO HOT AT THE SHOW!!!!!!!
Ha ha I don't know as much about them as I would like as I have just recently gotten into them.. But I plan on doing my research. That is so cool that you have gotten to see them live.. even if it wasn't the greatest show! I am still jealous. ha ha
I thought it was pretty weird they were coming here, myself. Victoria is pretty hurting for live shows due to the ferry ride to get here. Vancouver and Seattle get everything, but that would make it about $150 to go see a show for me, plus the cost of the tickets. *sigh*
Wow. That has got to suck! I live 3 hours north of Myrtle Beach, SC and
tons of bands come to The House of Blues there.. And we have a place
here called Hooligans where we get some pretty big stuff as well.. I
would hate to have to go through all of that trouble just to see a good
show. :/
No way. In September Amorphis (they are from Finland) is coming to the US and are playing in Charlotte, NC. That is the closest they are coming to me.. The will be a 5 hour drive and I will be more than happy to make it. ha ha To me this is a once in a liftime thing.. So I cannot miss it!!!
I guess Americans just have a different sense of distance. (If I had to drive five hours, I'd be far into another country already.) Or are much better fans.
